The Foreign Secretary of India Vinay Mohan Kwatra has arrived on an Official Visit to the Maldives.
The Indian Foreign Secretary is visiting the Maldives on the invitation of the Foreign Secretary of Maldives, Ahmed Latheef. This is the Indian Foreign Secretary’s first visit to the Maldives since assuming office in May 2022.
Foreign Secretary Kwatra was received at Velana International Airport by his counterpart, Ahmed Latheef.
During this visit, the Foreign Secretaries of the Maldives and India will discuss ongoing collaborations between both Governments and review progress on ongoing projects under Indian development assistance to the Maldives.
The Foreign Secretary of India will also call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Speaker Mohamed Nasheed, Minister of Finance, Minister of Economic Development, and Minister of Defence during the visit.
