Former President of the Elections Commission and current Managing Director of STELCO, Ahmed Shareef Adam has signed up to the main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Shareef joined the party on Thursday.
Shareef, also a former Thimarafushi MP, was appointed as a member of the Election Commission in March 2018. Prior to his appointment as a commission member, he served as the Secretary General of the commission. He resigned from the commission in June last year and was appointed as the Managing Director of STELCO in March this year.
