Six people arrested with 13 kg of drugs and a large amount of cash have been remanded in custody for 15 days.
The Police Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Team seized 13.56 kg of drugs and MVR 644,020 in cash in raids conducted Male' and Hulhumale' last Thursday night. According to Police Commissioner Mohamed Hameed, the items were seized from two houses in Male' and a guest house in Hulhumale'.
The police said six local men have been arrested in connection with the incident. All suspects have been remanded in custody for 15 days.
Police are conducting further investigations into the case.
