The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is investigating a disciplinary case against the Chief Magistrate of HDh. Nolhivaranfaru, Ahmed Hassan Manik.
JSC began investigating the case following a complaint that the magistrate allegedly neglected the duties and responsibilities of a judge.
The JSC investigates disciplinary issues involving judges and magistrates and takes action against them if found guilty. Some judges choose to resign when JSC begins its investigation instead of waiting for the commission's decision.
