The Transport Ministry has announced commercial cargo transportation hours in the Greater Male' area during Ramadan and the first six days of Shawwal.
The Transport Ministry said in an announcement Monday that vehicles will be allowed to transport commercial goods from 09:00 am to 04:30 pm and from 9:00 pm to 06:00 am during the period. The ministry said all types of goods of all categories can be transported during these hours. It is prohibited to transport any kind of commercial goods in bulk in any type of vehicle between 4:30 pm and 09:00 pm.
The Transport Ministry has also announced the times when vehicles carrying commercial goods can cross the Sinamale Bridge. In this regard, vehicles can travel on the bridge from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm and from 01:00 am to 06:00 am.
The ministry has also fixed the times when cooking gas, and water can be transported via the bridge. The timings are from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm and from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
The Transport Ministry said that those who violate the rules would be fined MVR 750 for each offense.
