President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has fixed official working hours for the month of Ramadan.
The President's Office Tuesday said the official working hours of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal would be from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm. The President's Office advised all government offices to adhere to the official working hours when planning and carrying out their work.
The official working hours are always shortened in the Maldives for the month of Ramadan. According to the Hijri calendar, the first day of Ramadan this year falls on March 23.
