Ghassan wins Dhidhdhoo Council by-election

Ghassan Abdulla has won the by-election held to elect a President for ADh. Dhidhdhoo Council.

The post became vacant with the resignation of the council's then-president. Council members Ghassan and Ahmed Zalif contested the by-election held Saturday as independent candidates.

According to the provisional results released by the Election Commission, Ghassan Abdulla received 64 votes, while Ahmed Zalif received 47 votes.

148 people were eligible to vote in the by-election.
