Youth Minister unable to attend Parliament due to illness

The Parliament on Tuesday could not question Youth Minister Ahmed Mahloof as scheduled due to the minister being unwell.

The Parliament included questioning the Youth Minister on the agenda for Tuesday's Parliament session regarding the Veymandoo Youth Center. The request to question the minister was made by Thimarafushi MP Abdulla Riyaz.

At Tuesday's session, Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed said Mahloof informed the Parliament Secretariat at 9:00 am that he could not attend the questioning session due to illness.

"We will hopefully ask the minister to return to parliament when he is well," Nasheed said.

The Parliament rules allow a minister to be questioned again if he is unable to attend a questioning session due to circumstances.
