A foreigner has been arrested on suspicion of operating a large-scale prostitution ring.
The suspect, a Bangladeshi national, was taken into custody for reportedly running a prostitution ring by bringing in sex workers from abroad.
Following a court hearing on Friday, the suspect was remanded in custody for a period of 15 days. The Criminal Court decision to detain him was made as he is believed to be a leader of the prostitution network and could influence witnesses in the case, in addition to posing a flight risk.
