The list of recipients of flats and land allocated under the government's Gedhoruveriya and Binveriya Scheme from Hulhumale' Phase II will be announced this month, the Planning Ministry has said.
The ministry's State Minister Akram Kamaluddin told AVAS that the list of beneficiaries of the flats being built and land being allocated in Hulhumale' will be evaluated and announced this month, as previously relayed by the ministry.
However, it is not known when the list will be released, whether it will be before or after Eid, Akram said.
A total of 15,164 applications were submitted for 5,000 plots of land, while 14,489 applications were submitted for three-bedroom flats. An additional 6,208 applications were received for two-bedroom flats.
The flats under construction are two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments being developed by the Green Living Corporation. The two-bedroom apartments will have 1,200 housing units of 650 sqft, and the three-bedroom apartments will have 2,800 housing units of 900 sqft.
