Over 1.5 mln tourists enroll in Maldives Border Miles prog

Over 1.5 million tourists have so far enrolled in the Maldives Border Miles privilege program.

Introduced as a key initiative to revive the economy and bolster tourism in the Maldives, the Maldives Border Miles program has gained tremendous traction since its launch in September 2020. Collaboratively developed by Maldives Immigration, the Tourism Ministry, and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), this program extends exclusive benefits to cross-border visitors.

Maldives Border Miles said the program attracted 1.5 million tourists in a short period of time as a result of the unparalleled hospitality offered by the Maldives. This is a remarkable success for the program in a short span of time, it said.

The border miles program rewards visitors to the Maldives with points for each visit. The three-tiered nationwide loyalty program is defined by a set variety of rewards, services, or benefits, which increase in value as members progress.
