Two individuals have been apprehended in relation to a collective assault in Fuvahmulah City.
The police said two people were taken into custody under a court order on Saturday. However, no specific details regarding the arrested individuals have been disclosed. Additional information concerning the assault has not been made public by the authorities.
According to Ahmed Lirar, the Manager of Fuvahmulah Hospital, a 36-year-old man sustained injuries during the incident. The victim has been transferred to the state-operated IGMH in Male'City using an MNDF helicopter and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU, Lirar said.
The attack was reportedly carried out by a group of three. Some of the attackers have prior criminal records.
