Four individuals have been arrested for obstructing police efforts during an operation to apprehend a drug suspect in Fuvahmulah City.
According to the police, a group attempted to interfere with the operation in the Dhoonigan ward of Fuvahmulah City last night and incited criminal behavior. During the clash, four people were taken into custody, one of whom also attempted to cause unrest at the Fuvahmulah Police Station.
"It has also been noted that some media outlets have reported false information about the operation," the police stated.
In the statement, the police emphasized their commitment to taking all necessary actions to combat the drug epidemic in the country.
