Former Commissioner of Sports, Heena Ahmed Saleem (Bodu Heena), has been appointed as a State Minister of the Youth Ministry.
The exact date of Heena's appointment was unclear. However, the President's Office website includes Heena's name and photo among the state ministers of the Youth Ministry.
Former footballer and coach Heena Saleem is the government's first sports commissioner. He was appointed as the Sports Commissioner on May 22, 2019, for a four-year term under the Sports Act. His term expired on May 22 this year.
In addition to Heena Saleem, two others are also state ministers in the Youth Ministry. These include Hussain Ismail and Mohamed Nasih Rasheed.
