The upgrade of the Ekuveni Outdoor Stadium to include a synthetic track will reach completion by November 11, the Youth Ministry has stated.
The Youth Ministry earlier on July 26 announced that two synthetic tracks will be developed at the stadium once its sub base is completed,
Youth Minister Ahmed Mahoof on Friday said the installation of the synthetic track is ongoing at a fast pace, and that the ministry hopes to conclude the work by November 11. The new features would benefit those who utilise the stadium to stay fit and healthy, said the minister.
Residents of Male’ City gather at the stadium for their daily exercise doses every day. School athletics tournaments as well as boot camps organized by private parties are held at the location.
