MDP manifesto proposes civil servants' remote work last ten of Ramadan

The presidential manifesto of incumbent President and MDP candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih includes a proposition to allow civil servants to work from home during the final ten days of Ramadan.

Aligned with its 'good governance' policy, the MDP's manifesto introduces a remote work policy for government employees during the last ten days of Ramadan, acknowledging the significance of night worship for many individuals during this period.

The manifesto also outlines plans to amend laws to establish a public service to eliminate gaps in the governance of public institutions and to establish a modern framework for the independent operation of public institutions.

In addition, the manifesto aims to transform the Maldives Civil Service into a strong system that will enable the policies of the executive branch to be implemented quickly. Additionally, legislative amendments will be introduced to modernize the regulatory system of the civil service.
