The PPM-PNC presidential candidate, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has said that he will solve the parking problem in Male' City by allocating parking slots to everyone and registering them under their names.
At the opening of a campaign center in Male' City on Friday, Dr. Muizzu shared his plans to solve the parking problem in the city. Muizzu, who is also the current Male' Mayor, said he has worked hard to solve the parking problem in the city since taking over as Mayor. However, the government did not cooperate with most of the efforts to resolve the issue, he said. Although investors and resources needed to tackle the parking issue head-on were identified, the plans could not be implemented due to a lack of permits from the government, he explained.
Muizzu said if he is elected to office, he would establish parking buildings and designate parking slots for each Male' resident. These slots will be registered in their name.
Furthermore, Dr. Muizzu committed to eliminating the requirement for a 'garage letter' to register a vehicle in Male' City. He pledged improvements to the vehicular and road-related issues within Male', and reaffirmed his dedication to public welfare. He said he would continue to work closely with the people.
