Will introduce special allowance for children with Thalassemia: Dr. Muizzu

The PPM-PNC presidential candidate, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has vowed to introduce a special allowance for children with Thalassemia.

Speaking at a campaign rally held at R. Dhuvaafaru on Tuesday, Dr. Muizzu said a PPM-PNC government would not only strengthen the economy, but would also give priority to building a healthy society. He asserted his dedication to prioritizing the needs of those requiring state assistance and vowed to introduce a special allowance aimed at supporting children with Thalassemia.

"This allowance will help alleviate a portion of the challenges faced by children with Thalassemia and their families," Muizzu said.

At an earlier campaign event at HA. Utheemu, Muizzu had pledged to arrange state-sponsored bone marrow transplants for thalassemia children.

Furthermore, Dr. Muizzu has committed to providing an allowance of MVR 3,000 to every child under the age of 18, designed to support single mothers. Additionally, he has vowed to increase the allowance to MVR 4,000 for those who have memorized the Quran. He has also committed to giving a retirement allowance to those who retire from their jobs.
