Chief Judge of Civil Court, Ahmed Nimal, passes away unexpectedly

The Chief Judge of the Civil Court, Ahmed Nimal, 36, of Fehige, GDh. Maamendhoo, has unexpectedly passed away.

Nimal died while being treated for a sudden chest pain at the state-run IGMH around midnight last night. His funeral will take place at Hulhumale Cemetery today after the Duhr prayers.

Nimal was appointed as a Civil Court judge on March 15, 2022. He assumed his role as the Chief Judge of the court on May 9 this year.

Nimal earned his Bachelor of Sharia and Law degree from Villa College and had previously served as a managing partner at Farhan Zameel & Nimal for over a year. He is survived by his wife and son.
