EC opens complaint process for re-registered voter list

The Elections Commission (EC) has published the re-registered voters for the second round of the presidential election and initiated the complaint process.

The registry was published on Thursday night, with the window for complaints open from 9:00 pm Thursday until 9:00 pm Saturday.

EC said to access voter information for registered polling stations, individuals can send a text message to 1414 with the keywords VR space IDNO. Complaints can be made to the registry through the Complaints Form on the Register of Eligible Voters, which is available on the Commission's website and at council offices.

The complaints forms are issued and received at the council offices of all residential islands, and from ward offices and city council offices in cities excluding Male'. In Male', the forms will be issued and accepted by the Election Centre established at Dharubaaruge. EC said complaints can be submitted from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm today and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm tomorrow.

For those residing abroad, the forms can be obtained and submitted at the Maldivian Consulate Offices and High Commissions in countries where the ballot boxes have been designated by the Election Commission. This service is available from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm

According to the EC, the complaints that can be submitted within this period are those regarding the registered voting location for the second round.
