Dr. Muizzu urges voters to prioritize country's betterment over party interests

The PPM-PNC presidential candidate, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has called on the people to vote for the betterment of the country rather than for their own party interests.

Speaking at a campaign event, Dr. Muizzu emphasized that a PPM government would prioritize the needs of the people, irrespective of how an island voted or which party they belonged to.

"Our government will be seen serving the people equally," Muizzu said.

Dr. Muizzu emphasized that a PPM government would empower local councils through the Decentralization Act. He assured that he would ensure the uninterrupted execution of projects directly benefiting the people and pledged to implement projects according to the people's wishes and to consider amendments to ongoing projects if desired. He also expressed his commitment to enhancing society by creating more employment and income-generating opportunities on every island.

"The country's affairs should be given precedence. The national spirit should be prioritized over party interests. Consideration should be given to what is most beneficial for the country. There are only two choices, and there is no other choice. With god's will, I will be that choice that yields results," Dr. Muizzu said.
