Pres Solih initiates salary review for aviation sector

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has disclosed that the government is actively reviewing the salaries of the aviation sector employees.

Speaking at a campaign rally held at the MDP's Sosun Jagaha on Saturday, President Solih acknowledged the important contributions of professionals working in the aviation sector. He expressed that efforts are underway to evaluate the salaries of aviation professionals as part of broader initiatives aimed at enhancing the salaries of public servants equitably.

“Within the aviation sector, there are numerous dedicated individuals, including pilots, engineers, and crew members. We have initiated a comprehensive salary review for this sector. I can assure you that in the near future, we hope to see salary increases for those employed in various roles within the aviation sector, such as pilots, engineers, air crews, and others,” he said.

The President has decided to increase the salaries of all public servants, including the army and police, from January 1 next year. The President’s administration, on May 1 last year increased the salaries of education employees and the salaries of health workers from May 1 this year.
