As the second round of the presidential election draws near, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has delivered a special message to the Maldivian people, urging them to grant him a second term to continue the work started by the current government,
In his message, President Solih emphasized the establishment of essential services and implementation of development projects across all islands, regardless of size, over the past five years. He asserted that the days of fear and insecurity had been eliminated and were now a thing of the past.
Shedding light on the COVID-19 pandemic, President Solih said even in the face of adversity, the government had taken all necessary measures to serve the people, regardless of their location or constituency.
The President also reminded the people of the salary increments brought to several sectors over the last five years. He asked the people to vote for him in tomorrow's election if they wished to avoid returning to a period of injustice and instability.
