Police enters FAM premises as part of ongoing investigation

The Maldives Police have entered the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) premises as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected corruption.

AVAS has learned that the police are investigating the case on the orders of the Prosecutor General's Office. The investigation revolves around allegations that funds designated for the FAM are being directed into private bank accounts.

This development follows the recent resignation of two members from the FAM Executive Committee. The FAM has been grappling with financial issues primarily due to managerial problems.
