The Sifainge Welfare Kunfuni (SIWEK) has been awarded the contract for preparing the Republic Square for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for MVR 22.9 million.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony were contracted to SIVEK by the Tender Board.
The swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Dr. Muizzu and Vice President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef is scheduled to be held on November 17 at the Republic Square, a location chosen as per Dr. Muizzu's preference.
During a consultation meeting with members of the Office of the President-elect and the Parliament on the swearing-in ceremony, the Parliament Secretariat outlined its plan to issue 3,500 invitations for the ceremony. These include invitations to top officials of four countries and the current ambassadors serving in the Maldives.
The President-elect's Office, the Parliament, and MNDF are collaborating in making arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony.
