Judicial Service Commission (JSC) member Abdul Maniu Hussain has resigned from the commission.
Maniu was elected as the JSC member representing lawyers by a vote among lawyers. He was appointed to the commission on July 31, 2019.
While Maniu tendered his resignation today, the reason for his resignation remains unclear. AVAS has learned from some sources that Maniu resigned from JSC as he intends to apply for a currently available position as a High Court judge.
