The Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has been asked to vacate its office premises at H. Hurafaa in Male' City. The eviction notice follows former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom's departure from PPM earlier this week, citing disagreements with the current party leadership.
Former Minister Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal, a member of a steering committee formed by Yameen, revealed that the owner of the Hurafaa building has requested PPM to vacate amidst the ongoing internal strife. The office was established at the building during Yameen's presidency, following a dispute over party ownership with his half-brother, former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom.
