Former TV presenter Heena Waleed has been appointed the CEO of the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).
Before her appointment, Heena was the Spokesperson for the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), the main party of the ruling PPM-PNC coalition. During President Abdulla Yameen's administration, Heena served as the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry.
Renowned for her extensive career as a journalist and presenter in state media, Heena takes over from Mariyam Shafeeq as the NSPA CEO.
