A skills training program will be launched in all schools next academic year.
The announcement was made by Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu at the opening ceremony of the "Hunaru Vehi" vocational hub at Huravee School established with the assistance of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Urbanco.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shafeeu emphasized that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has prioritized the development of a skilled Maldivian generation. To realize this vision, a nationwide skill training program will be introduced across all schools in the 2024 Academic Year, he said.
A STEM lab 'Dhasveshi', and a recreation center for students and teachers, "Mariyaadh" were also opened at the ceremony.
