The Election Commission (EC) has opened the opportunity to submit complaints on the list of eligible voters for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The list of eligible voters was released by EC on Wednesday and the deadline for submitting complaints has been set for January 21.
According to EC, complaints can be submitted from 08:30 am to 03:00 pm on weekdays except public holidays, and from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm on public holidays. The commission said complaints can be submitted from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm on Fridays.
EC said complaints will be accepted from the Election Center established at Dharubaaruge in Male' City. In all islands except Male' City, complaints can be submitted to the island councils. In Addu City and Fuvahmulah City, complaints must be submitted to district offices while the city council will accept complaints submitted in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on March 17, during the first week of Ramadan.
