A 27-year-old Indian man has been apprehended by Maldivian authorities in connection with a physical altercation.
The police said the individual was remanded in custody for 15 days by the Criminal Court on Friday. According to the court order, the man is currently residing in the Maldives in violation of immigration laws. The court order stated that if he is released from custody, the safety of the community could be endangered.
