The Election Commission (EC) has opened the opportunity to submit candidacy papers to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The opportunity will remain open from today until 2:00 pm on February 14.
EC said that those wishing to contest the parliamentary elections are required to submit their application forms and supporting documents to the election center established at Dharubaaruge in Male' City. The documents will be accepted from the election center from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm every day, excluding Fridays when applications will be accepted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on March 17 during the first week of Ramadan. EC said polling will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Members will be elected to 93 constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
