The Election Commission (EC) has announced an extension of voting hours for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The EC had earlier scheduled voting from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for Sunday's parliamentary election. However, following a meeting of EC members, the voting time has now been extended, spanning from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The EC emphasized that no further extensions will be granted.
A total of 368 candidates are contesting in 93 constituencies in the parliamentary election. The eligible voters amount to 284,663 individuals.
