Agriculture Ministry's State Minister Hussain sacked from post

State Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Hussain Ismail has been sacked.

Hussain Ismail, who is also the Vice President of the Maldives National Party (MNP), was terminated from the state minister position sometime last night, as confirmed by a government official. However, no explanation was provided for his dismissal.

Hussain Ismail had been primarily responsible for overseeing the ministry's operations in recent days due to the illness of Minister Aishath Rameela.

Following Hussain Ismail's removal, the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare still retains two ministers of state and three deputy ministers.
