Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has dismissed a newspaper article claiming that he vacated the official residence of the Vice President, Hilaaleege.
A local newspaper reported that the Vice President had allegedly moved out of Hilaaleege due to alleged difficulties arising from President Dr. Moahmed Muizzu's actions. The newspaper stated that the Vice President had moved to one of his apartments in Hulhumale'.
Taking to social media platform, X, VP Hussain refuted the claims.
"Before spreading such rumors involving the interest of the entire society, it is important to clarify the facts. Spreading such lies will only increase corruption in the society and cause disruption. I urge you not to spread such misinformation," he wrote,
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has never resided in Hilaaleege as the building is currently undergoing renovations.
