The Muslim World League (MWL) or Rabitat al-Aalim al-Islami has appointed Maldives Islamic Minister, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed as a member of its Supreme Council.
The appointment was made by Rabita's Secretary General, Dr. Mohamed bin Abdul Kareem al-Eesa.
The Rabita's Supreme Council is the supreme authority of the MWL which adopts all plans approved by the General Secretariat of the Rabita. The council consists of sixty members: distinguished Islamic figures representing the Muslim peoples and minorities and appointed by the Council decision.
