Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has commended the Maldives Hajj Corporation for its impeccable arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season.
Meeting with the first group of pilgrims set to depart for the anuual pilgrimage from Maldives, Dr. Shaheem emphasized the importance of sincerity and mindfulness in performing Hajj. He urged the pilgrims to perform the worship in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, and not to be influenced by different practices observed from pilgrims of other countries.
The minister encouraged the pilgrims to use their time wisely, and help each other during the pilgrimage. He also advised them to seek forgiveneness from people whom they may have wronged before leaving for Hajj.
Dr. Shaheem stressed the importance of following the instructions provided by the Hajj Corporation. Failure to do so have previously resulted in financial losses and injuries for some pilgrims, he said.
The minister further highlighted President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's commitment to prioritizing Hajj-related matters and strengthening the Hajj Corporation. While acknowledging and commending the corporation's efforts, he also reminded the pilgrims that not everything might go as planned during such a large-scale operation.
