Izzuddin Adnan has been appointed as the Director General of Zakat at the Maldives Zakat House.
Izzuddin was appointed to the post at a special ceremony held at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Monday.
Izzuddin has held various positions in the Islamic Affairs Ministry since 2008. He was most recently the Musaid Waaiz of the ministry.
Izzuddin received his higher education from International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan. He completed his Master of Sharia in 2016, winning the distinguished Book Prize. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Islamic University of Maldives.
