Pres Dr. Muizzu casts parliamentary vote, urges early citizen participation

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has voted in the parliamentary election.

The president cast his vote at the polling station at Thaajuddin School Hall.

After the vote, President Dr. Muizzu told reporters that voting is a constitutional right of every citizen, and urged all eligible voters to cast their votes at the earliest.

Voting for the parliamentary elections began at 8:30 am today, and will continue until 5:30 pm. A total of 368 candidates are contesting for 93 constituencies, and 284,663 individuals are eligible to vote in the election.

A total of 602 ballot boxes have been set up for the election.
