Parliament sitting adjourned due to lack of quorum

The Parliament adjourned its sitting for today due to insufficient quorum.

The sitting was scheduled to commence at 9:00 am. Speaker Mohamed Aslam said he would attempt to start the session at 9:30 am. However, the quorum remained unfulfilled even then and the sitting could not be kicked off.

“The necessary quorum for today's session has not been achieved. Therefore, I am adjourning today's sitting” Aslam said.

The agenda for today's sitting included questioning Construction Minister Abdulla Muthalib by Kendhikulhudhoo MP Ahmed Eesa.
