A 10-year-old boy has been injured after a wall fell on him in Th. Kandoodhoo.
According to a local source, the child was playing with other children of the same age when the incident occurred. The other children rescued him, and he was later taken to the health center by another group. The collapsed wall was the outer wall of an old house, about six feet high.
"The wall, which is about six feet high, collapsed and the child sustained various injuries and had scratches on different parts of his body," he said.
An employee of the Kandoodhoo Hospital said arrangements are being made to transfer the child to a hospital where internal tests can be conducted. Despite being in severe pain, the child is conscious and able to speak, he said.
