The development of the Male' Cemetery has been awarded to Haiman Construction Pvt Ltd.
The project was awarded to Haiman Construction Pvt Ltd for MVR 2.7 million, to be completed within two months. The project agreement was signed by Male' City Council's Secretary General, Wajeeh Naseer, and Haiman Construction's Director, Mohamed Aiman.
The cemetery project was previously awarded to two companies on two different occasions. The project was first awarded to PNP Maldives for MVR 4.9 million to be completed within two months. Despite an extension, the agreement was terminated due to a lack of progress. By the time of termination, MVR 3.6 million—53 percent of the contract amount—had been disbursed, including a MVR 2.6 million advance payment. After the termination of the initial contract, the project was subsequently awarded to BSICES Investment for MVR 4.6 million before ultimately being reassigned to Haiman Construction.
