Over 35 kilograms of drugs have been seized across 309 operations in the past six months under President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's administration.
According to Maldives Police Service statistics for the period, approximately MVR 4 million was recovered from theft cases, and 50 illegal foreigners were handed over to Maldives Immigration for deportation.
During this period, the police conducted 905 activities under the neighborhood police program, including 525 public programs. Additionally, 554 cases were investigated and sent to the Prosecutor General's Office for prosecution, with 42 previously investigated cases resulting in convictions in the court process. A total of 3,691 individuals were arrested in various cases.
A total of 899 police personnel participated in 142 training programs locally and internationally over the past six months. The police also opened 19 new posts across different islands, with plans to open 12 more this year.
