Aisha Noorain Janah has resigned as the Chairperson of the Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC).
Officials at MMPRC confirmed Noorain's resignation, though the specific reasons for her departure remain unclear.
The eldest daughter of Mohamed Ali Janah, the Principal Advisor to the President on Trade and Investment, Noorain was appointed as the Chairperson of the MMPRC on December 27, 2023. Noorain, who has spent many years in New Zealand, is a chartered accountant, with over 10 years of management experience. She also serves as the Vice Chair of Janah’s Hotels and Resort Investment Group.
