Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has affirmed that the Maldives is a valued partner for India.
In a post on the social media platform X, Modi thanked Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for his well wishes following Modi's victory in the Indian General Elections 2024. The Prime Minister described the Maldives as a valued partner and neighbor in the Indian Ocean region and expressed his eagerness to foster closer cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties.
In a separate post, Modi expressed his appreciation for the congratulatory message from Maldives Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef and emphasized his commitment to deepening bilateral partnerships with the Maldives.
