Chinese political advisor Bati arrives in Maldives

The Vice Chairman of China's People's Political Consultative Conference, Bati, who serves as an advisor to the Chinese government, has arrived in the Maldives for an official visit.

Bati is in the Maldives for a three-day stay. Upon arrival at Velana International Airport (VIA), he was welcomed by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ahmed Nazim, parliamentary officials, and leaders of the PNC's Prosecutor's Group.

During his visit, Bati will meet Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla today and with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday.

The primary purpose of Bati's visit remains unknown.
