The funeral of footballer Mohamed ‘Baka’ Arif was held early Wednesday after the Fajr prayers.
Baka, one of the most talented footballers in recent Maldivian history, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 38 due to invasive meningococcal disease.
He was a key member of the national squad that won the SAFF Championship in both 2008 and 2018.
