A boat traveling from Sh. Vangaaru to Male’ has run aground N. Lofaru reef.
The 75-foot-long "Nasfaru" boat, travelling with 10 people, ran aground the reef in the early hours of Thursday.
According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the MNDF Northern Area Command, Coast Guard First Squadron is actively assisting the boat in distress.
