The police have raided a residence in Male’ City where several types of drugs were found displayed as if in a store.
During the raid, the police arrested a 27-year-old local man with a previous criminal record. He faces charges of cannabis trafficking, use of cannabis, and two other drug-related charges. The man has been remanded in custody pending trial.
According to the arrest warrant report, a large quantity of drugs was recovered from the residence. The suspect attempted to interfere with evidence during the raid. Although he consented to give his phone to the police, he did not provide the lock codes, which prevented the police from accessing its contents.
