Former Customs Commissioner Maniu resigns from new role as State Minister

Yoosuf Maniu, who recently transitioned from his role as Commissioner General of Customs to State Minister of the Homeland Security Ministry, has resigned from his new position.

Maaniu was appointed as a State Minister of the Home Ministry on Monday. The same day, Fathmath Dhiyana was appointed as his successor at Maldives Customs.

The Homeland Security Ministry confirmed that Maniu had resigned as state minister.

Maniu served as the Chairman of the National Integrity Commission during the administration of former President Abdullah Yameen. He is also related to Higher Education Minister Dr. Maryam Maria.
